PATIENT REGISTRATION
INSURANCES
General Information
-
All registrations require Available Insurance, specific to the patient visit, indicated, i.e., checked off, on the Insurance tab:
-
The Insurance selected is added to the visit order for billing purposes.
-
If an insurance is not selected, the account insurance will default to “SELF”. This will cause significant finance errors as “SELF” is not a defined or approved insurance.

- All provincial/territorial health care policy numbers are to be recorded in 3 fields.
