Transfer Routine and Bed ready

Bed Ready: You can review, add and remove a bed status by using either the Worklists or the Bed Board:

  • Worklists
  • Bed Board

** Note: this is also the area where you can block a bed. Instead of using READY, use BLOCK BED option

Transfer Routine:  There are many ways to complete a transfer. The following is the most basic way:

  1. Bed Management Desktop
  2. Single Mode
  3. Transfer
  4. Account Identifier = Patient name/info/account #
  5. Transfer date/time = Date and time of when the patient was physically moved.
  6. Room = Enter the room (NBA3.25, NBC1.12REH, etc)
  7. Room Rate = Auto fills. Change if coverage changes or if patient needs isolation or if isolation is removed.
  8. Service = Change if needed (If patient moved from ICU to MED)
  9. Transfer Reason – F9 look up and choose most appropriate option

** Note: You can use the Transfer option when you answer a Message/Task transfer request.  The Message Task, once you select the message, brings you into that account. You can Transfer, Edit, Discharge, LOA all from within the Message/Task section.
