CWS Editing/Changing Multiple Recurring Accounts
Summary of Change:
We now can edit various aspects of “Multiple” recurring appointments at one time via the Edit and Recurring menu options. Users can select all or some of the remaining future appointments that were booked as a recurring (series) appointment and make edits to any of the following fields under specific circumstances:
- Location
- Day of the Week
- Start Time
- Appointment Total Duration
- Resource Start Value
- Resource Duration
- Resource
- Resource Group
- Only Booked/ Waitlisted appointments are eligible for editing via the Edit Recurring Appointments routine. Past Attended/Arrived, No Show, Cancelled, or Pending/Rebook status appointments do not qualify for mass editing.
- The system will require that the selected appointments share the same resource groups and be in the same sequence in order to make changes to resource/resource group data.
- If there is a difference in resource groups where they are mismatched for two or more selected appointments, the entire resource group block at the bottom of the screen will be suppressed from view.
Bring up the patient in any Mode, choose any of the recurring visits, select EDIT
Select multiple appointments
Select which visit you want to change the information on and click OK to save.
If making different changes for each appointment, you have to save individually.
Bring up the patient in any Mode, select a recurring appt, and choose the Recurring function.
When choosing the recurring function, a sub-menu will pop up, including “Edit/Reschedule recurring appointment”. You can now follow the steps from above.
The Change Status and Switch Account functions in any of the CWS Modes—patient, Department, Waitlist, and Resource Grid modes—now also have this "Multiple" option for CWS recurring visits.
Note: The functions to edit multiple recurring appointments and change their status for multiple visits are also applicable for AMB appointments, but these actions must be completed in CWS rather than AMB
The Add To Existing Recurring appointment option is now available under the Recurring menu option only for the Patient's desktop. Users may add additional appointments to an existing recurring appointment if the patient needs them before the start of a recurring appointment, after the conclusion of a recurring appointment, or for different dates and times within the time frame of a recurring appointment.
You will get the new selection of the below when choosing the recurring function in Patient Mode only.
If a patient has more than one recurring visit, you will have to select which one to add to.
You can see the existing appts in VIEW only in the top right of the screen.
We can now edit query values for multiple recurring appointments at one time via the Edit / Reschedule Recurring Appointments routine.
The appt question only appears once for all scheduled appointments.
