From regional:
The Snapshot Communication intervention and widget were created for the purpose of communicating things like instructions for patient care (eg. OT could write that a patient should wear a splint for 2hrs, or SLP could write that a patient should use a specific communication device). In my experience at Sault Area Hospital, I haven't seen RRT use this intervention. The Snapshot Communication shouldn't be used to document Notes that aren't captured in interventions. The Write Note function should be utilized instead because there is the option to select a Focus heading which contains the SOAPE note format.
2 options to add notes:
1 under write note- select Respiratory therapy. , include a header (ex. post arrest, ) modify the SOAPE as not all fields are pertaining.
2 while in your assessment, click on ADD NOTE from upper tool bar and use as text box.
“ADD note” is available on all assessment/ interventions
3 Use RRT in patient assessment instead of ED Respiratory Assessment as it has a comment box available.
*** please use ADD note VS RRT snapshot intervention moving forward****
