Access to EMR/Chart View 

At any time in Lab, with a patient selected whether entering results, entering a requisition, or viewing an internal inquiry, you can press the “EMR<F11>” button from the side menu or just 

F11 to open the EMR/Chart View of the patient

 

Once in the EMR or what Expanse calls the “Chart View” of the patient, you will see that it looks very different from Client/Server. You can use the Chart Summary screen to view a snapshot of a patient’s health status. The screen layout of the clinical chart looks like an actual chart with tabs at the top for different information on the patient. The Summary Tab is the default tab that it will log into. It displays a summary of the patient’s health status into widgets or boxes on the different topics. If you look at the “Lab Results Last Value” widget, you will see a summary of the last results for the patient.  

 

If you select the Diagnostics tab, you can view a complete history of the patient’s lab results including Laboratory, Microbiology, Pathology, and Blood Bank Tests. The screenshot below shows the Laboratory tab and Chemistry tests run on this patient per day:
