Site Batches and Sending to Performing Site When Appropriate 

Open the Specimen Desktop by selecting “Specimen” from the Desktops menu 

Select the “Site Batches” button from the menu on the right side of the screen. Then select “Enter/Edit” from the Site Batches menu 

1. In the “Batch Date” field, enter today’s date. 
2. In the “Batch Number” field, enter NEW and it will input the next batch number in the system. 
3. Your site should display in the “Send From Site” field, then enter the lab site that you are sending the batch to in the “Send to Site” field.
4. In the “Include Specimens for Module(s)” field, select the modules that you wish to pull specimens from (LMBP is Lab, Micro, BBK, Path).
5. In the “Include Specimens from Pool” field, enter Y. 
6. In the “How Many” field, enter 99. 
7. You should now see your specimens listed in the below grid. Remove any specimens that you do not wish to site batch. 
8. In the “Batch Status” field, enter SENT. 

Your screen should look like the below screen: 

Now press the “Save” button. Sort the batch specimens by either by Spec #, Temperature, or Neither. Select “Yes” to the “Mark batch as received?” question. Press OK. 

Now a Site Batch Report will display for you to print to include with the specimens that you are shipping.
