AMBFO - Contact Communication Preferences
AMBFO - The Confirm Button and Time Stamp are added to Contact Communication Preferences.
Summary of Change:
Contact Communication Preferences fields (CCPs) determine the amount of information your patients want your organization to share with each of their contacts by asking the following questions: Discuss the patient's healthcare. Appointments? Clinical? Financial? This change enhances the feature by allowing users to indicate that they have confirmed the patient's preferences, even if they have not changed.
- A new Confirm button appears below the CCP fields. Selecting the button changes it into a check box labeled Confirmed. Saving the routine captures the date, time, and user who clicked that button.
- A new view-only Last Confirmed field automatically shows the most recent confirmation's date, time, and user.
Notes:
-
Like the CCP values, the Last Confirmed time stamp respects the Communication Preferences Parameter. This means that when a user looks at the patient's general CCPs, the timestamp indicates when they were last updated. When a user looks at CCPs at a separate location, the timestamp is for that location only.
- The Confirm button does not need to be clicked when a user updates the CCP values. Saving new values automatically updates the Last Confirmed button. This means Last Confirmed also means Last Updated. There is no harm in clicking the Confirm button after entering changes.
You can also find this information in several locations: under the Contact accordion in the Patient Data tab, in the Appointment Details on the Visit Data tab (Edit Visit Record), or by clicking the blue “i” icon on the clinical chart.
