Note- This workflow is only relevant for the following facilities: NBR, SAH, TDH, SRH

The CTO Surveillance list in PCS has to important tasks:

  1. Registering the patient to the CTO location at your facility
  2. Documenting the CTO intervention in PCS

Registration instructions for CTO:

The person who is responsible for registering the CTO account should be made aware of the following 2 fields in the Registration Management Desktop.Referring Provider: enter the Psychiatrist’s name here. This may or may not be the same as the Attending Provider.

  1. Visit Comment: enter the diagnosis here

These 2 fields will populate the CTO Surveillance list in PCS.

PCS instructions for CTO:

The CTO Surveillance list will automatically populate with patients who are registered to the CTO location. The Psychiatrist and Diagnosis will flow from the Registration steps above.

All of the columns to the right of Special Indicators (SI) will populate with documentation saved on the intervention named CMH Community Treatment Order.

The patients will drop off the CTO list when the account is closed. However, patients can also be manually removed from this list if needed. This is done by selecting the patient, clicking on the Hamburger button and selecting Add/Remove Surveillance Profile.

On the Surveillance Profile Criteria overlay, click Remove From Profile in the footer:

Check off the box beside CTO Location Patient, then enter the follow required fields:

  1. Reason: choose Does Not Meet Criteria, or MD Approved
  2. Reevaluate After Time: type 5M

Click Save

Close the next screen to return to the CTO list. Refresh the list and notice that the patient falls off the list.
