To check for referrals, from your main menu, select Manage Orders.

Click By Location.

Choose a template (find in lookup) or use mnemonic. This will automatically populate details of the referral and most templates have the dates set as the past 24 hours. If a different date range is required, change the ‘From’ or ‘Thru’ fields for Order Date.

Do not make any changes to the order details.

Click on Compile in the footer to get a list of referrals.

The list of orders that match the criteria will display.
To view the details of an order, click on the row without checking the box, then click Orders on the right hand side of the screen.

The Orders routine will open to Current Orders. Do not click on a current order as this will begin the process of editing the order. Instead, click on the History tab.

On the History tab, you may safely click on the order to view the details.

Order details:

Click on Selection to return to the list of Referrals.
To complete the order, check off the box beside the order and then click on Complete on the right side of the screen.
If completing an order that falls outside the date range, change the date range and recompile to find the order and then change the status to complete.

Note: any referrals that are linked to PCS (ie. the order populates an intervention on the worklist) can only be completed from the worklist, not through Manage Orders.
