REG - Apply New Bed Board Detail for Patient Identification

Summary of Changes

Enhance Patient Identification – Add additional patient identifiers to Bed Board – Add Legal Sex, Gender ID, Pronouns for colour application.

This enhancement adds more options to the Restrict to Bed Detail lookup within the Registration Access Dictionary. This lookup controls the details displayed on the Reg Bed Board grid. These optional fields increase the visibility of information to staff to help address a patient respectfully.

These changes are made through the REG Access dictionary. To access these new Bed Board Patient ID details, navigate the following path:

 

From the main REG Access dictionary screen, make sure you are in Edit mode and then follow these steps:

1.       Perform a lookup for the access of the user(s) that these Bed Board additions are applicable to.

2.       Click the Bed Mgmt button at the top of the REG Access dictionary.

3.       Click the Bed Board subpage button on the Bed Mgmt page of the Access dictionary.

4.       From within the Restrict to Bed Detail, click on a row and the dropdown arrow to view a listing of the available patient identifiers that can be displayed on the Bed Board.

5.       Click in the checkbox of the patient identifiers that you want to display in the Bed Board.



Note: many of these options existed prior to PPU 2.2.66. The following are new fields:

• Age/Legal Sex *new option
• Age/Birth Sex *existing option, new description
• Gender Identity *new option (you'll need to define a query)
• Name - Abbreviated Legal *existing option, new description
• Name - Abbreviated Preferred *new option
• Name - Full Legal *existing option, new description
• Name - Full Preferred *new option
• Name - Full Legal and (Preferred First Name) *new option
• Pronouns *new option

6.       Save your changes and view the Bed Board to see the enhancements
