Group Notes provide the user the opportunity to reduce the amount of time spent documenting a group event by creating part of the note that is shared across the group’s participants. An individual note is used to document patient specific details.
From the PCS Status Board/Home Screen, click on the user session menu (hamburger button) and select Group Notes.
The Group Notes routine will open. The patients on your status board My List will populate the group notes Patient List.

Check off the patients to include in the group note.

Enter the Date/Time and Duration.

Under the Group Note field, select Group Name.

Click Document Note in the header.
Upon clicking Document Note, The Group Note will open. In the blue brackets [ ], type the name of the group as well as the details of the group. This group note will be attached to each patient selected on the Patient List.
Next click on Individual Note.
When the Individual Note is selected, a preview of the Group Note will display above the list of patients. The Individual Note is documented at the bottom of the screen.

Click on the patient’s name to begin the Individual Note for that patient.

Click on the Text button to use one of the Group canned text entries which have been built for convenience, or select a Focus heading and document any information that is specific to that patient.

Check off the box beside the patient’s name. ALL patients in the group need to have an individual note documented in order to be able to click Save. The Save button will remain low lit until each patient has an individual note and a checkmark beside their name.
Once all patients have an Individual Note and a checkmark, click Save and enter your PIN to save the note.
Back on the main page of Group Notes, clicking on Manage Note will provide the opportunity to View, Print, Amend or Undo the previously saved group note.
To view the Group Note in the Chart, click on the Nurse/Allied Health tab, then click on the Other Therapies category. Click on the paper icon beside Individual Note.
Although the note is titled Individual Note, both the Group Note and Individual Note display together.
