Hot Keys and Shortcuts
Hot keys and shortcuts are screen buttons you can activate with keystrokes. The difference between a hot key and a shortcut depends on its availability:
-
Shortcuts are available any time.
-
Hot keys are available only when the screen focus is on that button region.
The below screen capture close-up shows a series of hot keys. (To move the screen focus to a button region, use <F8>.) The circled letters below indicate the buttons’ keyboard equivalent, or hot key. For example, use the letter G key to jump directly to the Registration routine.
